As a company, we are aware of our social responsibility. Sustainability is a fundamental principle for schalk&friends.

For us, fair co-operation is the prerequisite for trusting and successful work. This applies both to the way we treat each other in our team and to our often very long-standing business relationships with our customers. For us, acting responsibly means not just putting our corporate social responsibility on paper, but actually living it. schalk&friends is a member of the FAIRCompany campaign.

Sustainability at schalk&friends means:

That we create good jobs

  • Working students, trainees and career starters are given fair opportunities
  • Full-time positions are not filled by interns, volunteers, guest students or permanent temporary staff
  • We do not put off university graduates who have applied for a permanent position with an internship
  • We pay our interns an appropriate expense allowance
  • Through an apprenticeship, we give young people the opportunity to develop professionally and personally
  • We enable mothers and fathers to take longer family breaks, give them the opportunity to return to work and organise their working hours flexibly so that professional and private responsibilities can be reconciled

That we give away some of what we earn

  • schalk&friends supports “Helena” – a creative-artistic campaign by BLWG e.V. for children with a hearing impairment
  • schalk&friends is the agency of the German Hockey Federation with the United Hockey Generation project
  • schalk&friends supports the youth work of regional Munich sports clubs such as HC Wacker

That we support the energy transition together with Polarstern

We keep our ecological footprint as small as possible. That’s why we only use really green electricity from Polarstern in our offices. It’s called that because it really is sustainably generated: from 100% German hydropower – certified by TÜV and Grüner Strom-Label. For every customer, Polarstern also helps a family in a developing country to build their own small biogas plant. ÖKO-TEST thinks this is “very good”. And so do we.

We also cover the electricity requirements of parts of our data centre with electricity from renewable energies, most of which is generated in wind and hydroelectric power plants in Germany. In this way, we also strengthen the regional economy.

That we create prospects

We offer young and committed people not only key skills for a successful career, but also long-term prospects in our company.

schalk&friends stands for a competent, modern and pleasant working atmosphere with consistent expertise. A wide range of tasks under the best working conditions forms the basis for this.

We are pleased to be an IHK training company!
