With a new brand identity and the claim WIR wirkt Wunder, the digital agency schalk&friends is taking off again: The approximately 60-strong team of creatives, strategy and brand specialists, online marketing professionals and developers is providing SMEs with a comprehensive and holistic range of consulting services for their successful digital transformation from its Munich location – with expanded expertise in the areas of branding and online marketing.

A total of four new employees are strengthening this segment and now offer campaigning and data-driven marketing in addition to brand strategy and positioning. In this way, the agency, which was founded in 1999, is moving even closer to its key customers from the SME sector and also aims to realise new business potential. schalk&friends always sees itself as a partner at eye level with the aim of modern and agile collaboration, which results in more growth for both sides.

The positive development of the agency despite the corona crisis also shows that this course is working well: the Munich-based agency was able to make significant gains in the past calendar year. Overall, fee income rose by 26.3 per cent to €5.7 million, more than twice as much as the average of the 172 other agencies listed in the ranking. Particularly pleasing: no one at schalk&friends was made redundant during the pandemic and short-time working was completely avoided.

Agency founder Tobias Schalkhaußer: “By taking a holistic view of brand, strategy and measures, we achieve greater speed and better results. The fact that we are also breaking down silo mentality among our SME customers is driving the digital transformation forward even more consistently and we often achieve much more than originally planned.”

Co-Managing Director Matthias Bierich: “As part of all projects, we ask exactly what the purpose of certain measures is. This often reveals that there is a great need to optimise essential prerequisites for effective marketing. This includes, for example, a good handling of one’s own brand or the definition of goals and strategies. With our new set-up, we can perfectly address this and provide valuable impetus.”
