The image pool grows with every new innovation, every new project and product – which doesn’t necessarily makeitany easier to organize. The situation is made particularly difficult by staff turnover and hardware-related data loss. What is missing? A global data architecture, ideally with a sophisticated search function.

A digital asset management (DAM) system needs to be created that can cope with this incredible amount of data without creating an enormous administrative burden. To achieve this, administration, editing and approval processes need to be radically simplified.

This tagging function was created especially for large image pools. Images can be selected using Multi Select via the DAM list view within a folder.

Even the most complex approval processes can be mapped within the tool. The images ready for approval are assigned to the person responsible. If they are not available (e.g. on vacation/illness), the approval is automatically assigned to a person with the same role.

To enable the Brainlab design team to select image sections with optimum information density and/or aesthetics, the option was created here to derive various variants from an image asset. These can be used in different formats for different platforms.
