The challenge

The Tiroler Landestheater is Western Austria’s largest cultural institution, a three-division house with over 600 performances a year. In this high-caliber, dynamic environment, the previous WordPress-based website quickly reached its limits – not visually, but functionally. Content had to be maintained manually and there were no interfaces to theasoft or ticket platforms. This led to high costs for the communications team and a digital presence that no longer met the company’s requirements.

The large number of stakeholders and user journeys, as well as the high technical requirements of the project, required a well-coordinated team with representatives from account management, programming and creation. The common goal: a high-performance, accessible and editorially efficient www.landestheater.at

Together with the TLT team, we developed a holistic digital strategy in workshops. The goal: a system that inspires users and relieves editors. The technical choice fell on Pimcore – a future-proof DXP that combines content and data management on one platform. A direct connection to theasoft was implemented for the first time using customized interfaces. Further integrations – e.g. to Feratel, events.tt, Tixly or Ticketgretchen – make the new website the digital hub of the house. A high-performance schedule with ElasticSearch, a structured ensemble module and a modern, responsive UI bring the diversity of the cultural sector together under one roof. The project also remained agile at all times during implementation: requirements changed, new ideas developed during the ongoing process – and we were able to respond flexibly.

Rows of mountains, an unfolded crown, or just three small w’s? However you look at it, the www. has been cultivating landestheater.at since February 2025 in an old and newly recharged way. The website presents itself in a strong design, with automated maintenance and stable post-relaunch performance. The feedback is consistently positive, both internally and externally. Programme, ensemble, sponsor and partner organizations – the new, digital stage of the Tiroler Landestheater puts all actors in the limelight. Editors save time, users find what they are looking for more quickly. Thanks to its modular architecture, the platform is ready for anything that comes its way, both technically and conceptually.
