What you will learn in this case: The construction industry needs young talent - but first needs to change its outdated image. With an effective online marketing campaign including our own landing page, we inform the young target group about the diverse career opportunities in construction and thus attract trainees to LBB's companies.

The challenge

Training in the construction industry is no longer en vouge in 2021. Young people and their parents associate a lot of prejudices with the job profiles in the construction industry and no longer even think of applying here on their own. The result for construction companies is an extreme shortage of interesting trainees.

Goal

BauSquad refers to “the construction team”. A “we-feeling” is created on social media channels, which is infectious and encourages participation. The campaign page ensures direct contact with the construction companies. The aim of the campaign is to attract new young talent and improve the image of construction professions and the construction industry.

We generate attention in order to bring the entire industry into the relevant set of young people and counteract image problems by addressing the target group and providing useful information. We talk to young people at eye level, reinvent the BauSqaud social media format and thus convey a new sense of togetherness and the industry’s pride in its job profiles and work.

Solution

From trainee to boss: all employees of the Bavarian construction industry belong to BauSquad. Here they exchange ideas, learn together and have fun together. All of this takes place on the BauSqaud social media channels and thus attracts attention wherever the young people are. The campaign page bauberufe.bayern, another centerpiece of the campaign, also provides the shortest way to contact the training companies.

Success

Thanks to the strong visual design, we attract the attention of the young target group and the optimized user guidance on bauberufe.bayern allows them to get in touch with training companies quickly and easily. The social media campaign addresses the target group at eye level and generates more than half of the website traffic shortly after the campaign launch.
