At schalk&friends, we pursue creating digital experiences that are equally accessible to everyone – regardless of their physical or technical abilities.

This declaration relates exclusively to the schalk&friends website under the domain www.schalk-and-friends.de. External content and linked third-party sites are not part of this declaration.

Methodology of the assessment

To check accessibility, we carried out both a self-assessment by our internal team of experts and additional tests using recognised testing tools such as ARC Toolkit. The assessment was carried out in accordance with the WCAG 2.2 test criteria, taking into account current standards and technologies.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is largely compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.2, conformance level AA. Despite our efforts, some content is not yet fully compliant, as listed below:

• Lack of alternatives to video content: We currently do not offer audio descriptions, transcripts or text alternatives for embedded videos.
• Integrated forms from Hubspot: These are only accessible to a limited extent, as they do not fully comply with the WCAG requirements. As this is a third-party tool, we have only limited influence on the technical implementation.
• Cookie consent tool from Usercentrics: The cookie consent tool used on this website currently contains a faulty aria-labelledby attribute that refers to a non-existent ID. This may result in restrictions when using screen readers. As this is a third-party tool, we have only limited influence on the technical implementation.

We are constantly working to remove these barriers and further improve our website.
